Meditation Description
The first objective is to learn how to stay present so that you can make meditation a skill. It is from this new present state of mind, that you can change something physical or emotional about yourself and consciously create new experiences in your life.
Although Dr Joe has mapped out a step-by-step program for you to learn the entire process, take as much time as you need to practice each step until it becomes familiar. This will allow you to build a strong foundation. When you can concentrate on what you’re doing without letting your thoughts wander to any extraneous stimuli, you will come to a point where your body aligns with your mind. Now your new skill will become easier to do.
Disclaimer for Guided Water Visualization Meditation: This guided meditation involves a visualization where water rises around the body, which some may find deeply relaxing. However, if you have a fear of water, discomfort with the sensation of immersion, or past traumatic experiences related to water or swimming, this session might not be suitable for you.
